SERVE

SERVE in the church at Village View!

There are many opportunities to use your gifts and talents at Village View.  The best place to start is to attend Growth Track Discovery 301 where you actually take the time to look at how God has uniquely created you and to then get plugged in to serving on the Dream Team.  From parking cars to rocking babies, greeting people as they enter or serving as a small group leader, there is a place to use what God has given you for His glory and the building up of our church.  Sign up to take all of the Growth Track classes on the back of your Connection Card on the weekend or contact Pastor John Bates at jbates@villageviewchurch.com for more information.

SERVE the Tri-County community around us!

Having a heart to serve others is having a heart like Jesus.  Village View reaches out into our community together to meet needs that people have:  spiritual, emotional, physical and financial.  Weekly we provide food through our Food Pantry Ministry Team and monthly we provide clothing through our Clothing Connection Team.  Our small groups ministry also work together as teams to serve our community in many ways.

Quarterly our church goes out into the community to serve other Christian and community ministries such as the Women’s Pregnancy Center Ocala, the Shepherd’s Lighthouse Shelter for mothers and children in Belleview, the Arnette House in Ocala providing shelter and counsel for troubled youth or those with a troubled home and more.

Weekly the Good News Club Ministry Team works with the students of Harbour View Elementary located next door to our church to present the gospel and the stories of the Bible to children who may never get to attend church regularly.

We love and care about the people of our community and serving them helps us fulfill Jesus’ command to love our neighbors as ourselves.

SERVE the people of the world!

Village View supports and interacts with several missions ministries to further the sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the world.  We do this together by individually sponsoring children through the Compassion International ministry, supporting Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan’s Purse, going on medical mission trips to unreached people groups in Costa Rica with Mercy Missions, and by also supporting local international pastors that are on the field doing mission work in India and North Africa.  Our small groups are encouraged to support the missions above with their gifts and through special projects.  For more information on our World Missions opportunities, please contact Ronda Shea at the church office:  352-307-7303, Extension 206.
